9. Detailed Process Flow of Floating Fish Feed Production Line

Flour Mixer → Screw Conveyor → Twin-Screw Extruder → Sifter → Air Conveyor → Dryer → Small Hoister → Flavoring Machine

9.1 Control Cabinet (Siemens PLC)

Centralized Siemens PLC control manages the entire line with real-time monitoring, temperature/speed control, and fault diagnostics.

9.2 Mixer & Screw Conveyor

Raw materials are mixed with water and additives to form a homogeneous mash, then fed continuously into the extruder.

9.3 Twin-Screw Extruder

Cooks and gelatinizes starch under high temperature (90–150°C) and pressure. Upon exiting the die, material expands to form floating pellets.

9.4 Sifter & Air Conveyor

Removes fines and gently transfers pellets to the roaster/dryer without damage.

9.5 Roaster / Dryer

Reduces moisture from ~22–28% to 8–10% for shelf stability and proper pellet hardness.

9.6 Flavoring Coater

Automatically applies fish oil, vitamins, and attractants evenly onto pellets.

9.7 Cooling Conveyor & Packaging

Cools pellets to room temperature before automatic weighing and bagging.
